How much money could I save with a metal roof?
Metal roofing is able to withstand wind, hail, and other elements of nature much better than a standard shingle roof, allowing you to avoid costly roofing repairs over time. These roofs can also last up to 50 years!
You may also be able to save through your home insurance as well by installing a rated metal roof.
Can I have a metal roof put over shingles?
Yes. Metal roofing can be installed over an existing shingle roof, however we do recommend placing an underlayment between the metal and shingles. Corrosion can occur if an underlayment is not used and this will void your warranty. A barrier of Permafelt or 1×4 slats can be placed under the metal to maintain the warranty.
